This policy covers alterphaseroofing.com and the ways you reach us through it: our estimate forms, phone calls and text messages. "We", "us" and "our" mean Alter Phase Roofing Contracting (legal name Alter Phase Contracting Inc), 61 Appleby Ave, Staten Island, NY 10305.
The short version
- We collect the details you give us so we can inspect your roof, send you a price and do the work.
- Our website uses Google tools to measure visits and the results of our Google Ads, including which ads lead to calls.
- We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it so others can market to you.
- You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out an estimate form, we receive:
- The service you need (for example a roof leak, a new roof or gutters)
- Whether it's your home, your business or a building you manage
- The property address or ZIP code
- Your name and phone number
- Anything you choose to write in the message box
- The page you sent the form from
- Technical details sent along with the form: your IP address, your type of device and browser, and how you found our website (for example, the Google ad or search that brought you here)
When you call, text or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you tell us. If you hire us, we also keep the information we need to do the job: your contract, the photos we take of your roof, invoices, payments and warranty records.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device, approximate location (city level), the pages you view, and the website or ad that brought you here. Most of this comes from the tools described below; the few details we attach to an estimate request are listed above.
How we use your information
- To call or text you back about your request, schedule your inspection and send your estimate
- To do the work, invoice it and register and honor your warranties
- To answer questions and handle warranty or service calls later
- To understand how people use our website so we can make it better
- To measure which Google Ads lead to calls and estimate requests, so we spend our advertising money on what works
- To keep our website secure and to meet our legal, tax and licensing obligations
We don't add you to a marketing email list. We only contact you about your request, your job or your warranty, unless you ask us to.
Cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads
Our website uses Google Tag Manager to load two Google tools:
- Google Analytics 4 measures visits: how many people come to the site, which pages they read and how they found us.
- Google Ads conversion tracking tells us when someone who clicked one of our ads calls us or sends an estimate request.
These tools use cookies and similar technology set by Google. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy, at policies.google.com/privacy.
Call tracking. If you arrive from one of our Google Ads, the phone number on our website may be replaced with a Google forwarding number. Calls to it ring straight through to us. Google records the call's details, such as the time, length and your area code, so we can see that the ad worked. Some of our advertising pages also show a dedicated tracking number, (929) 800-8572. Calls to it also come straight to us, and the call details are logged by our phone provider.

- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
- Install Google's opt-out tool at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The website works without these cookies.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with companies that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Website hosting and forms: Netlify, which hosts our website and receives estimate requests on our behalf
- Measurement and advertising: Google, as described above
- Phone, text and email providers that carry our calls and messages
- Roofing manufacturers such as GAF, when we register the warranty on your new roof in your name
- Your insurance company, when you ask us to send photos or reports for a claim
- Accountants, lawyers and government agencies, when the law requires it or to protect our rights
We never sell personal information, and we don't share it with other businesses for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. For customers, that includes the length of your warranty and the time the law requires us to keep business and tax records.
How we protect it
Our website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and estimate requests travel encrypted to our form provider. Inside the business, only the people who need your information to serve you can see it. We follow New York's data security law (the SHIELD Act), and if a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you as the law requires.
No website or system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information such as bank or card numbers through our website forms.
Your choices and rights
- See it: ask what personal information we have about you.
- Fix it: ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete it: ask us to delete it. We'll delete what we're not required to keep for warranty, tax or legal reasons.
- Stop contact: tell us at any time to stop calling or texting you about an estimate, and we will.

Children
Our website is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to other sites, such as Google Maps, review platforms, manufacturers and NYC government pages. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll say so clearly here.
